The Carolina Hurricanes recognized girl's and women's hockey March 3rd - 5th through our Girl's Hockey Celebration! The three-day event brought opportunities for girls and women of all ages and hockey abilities. The celebration was hosted at PNC Arena and included an open skate, hockey skills clinics, a 4 vs 4 competition, a panel discussion with Raleigh female leaders, and a Canes game!

We celebrated alongside U.S. National Team Member & two-time Olympic Medalist, Megan Bozek. We plan to host again next March!

Open Skate

Girl's and women of the community were welcomed to join us for an open skate at PNC Arena. The open skate featured female community leaders, music, popcorn, hot chocolate and other surprises. After the skate, we held a panel conversation accompanied by refreshments and hors d'oeuvres.

Women's Skills Clinic

The skills clinic took place on March 4th at PNC arena and was open to players 15 years and older. Players of various skill levels were encouraged to join, and we separated players into appropriate groups. The hour consisted of station based skills & small area games. 

14U Skills Clinic

The skills clinic took place on March 4th at PNC arena and was open to recreational players 14 years and younger.  The hour consisted of station based skills & small area games.  

Girls 4 vs 4 Competition

The 4 vs 4 competition took place on Saturday, March 4th at PNC Arena and was open to players ages 6-12 years old. We created teams and players participated in game play.

Carolina Hurricanes vs Tampa Bay Lightning

It is Kids Day at PNC Arena as the Carolina Hurricanes take on the Tampa Bay Lightning! The game will provide children-themed music and entertainment. We wanted to end our Girls Hockey Celebration with a bang. That's why we have reserved 100 tickets for the Carolina Hurricanes against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
