The Carolina Hurricanes First Goal Program is a league-wide initiative and partnership between the Carolina Hurricanes, the National Hockey League, and the National Hockey League Players' Association. The initiative provides first-time participants (boys and girls) aged 5-10 with hockey equipment and the opportunity to enjoy instructional hockey sessions. The 2024 program is sponsored by Invisalign, UNC Health, and Carolina Hurricanes forward #37 Andrei Svechnikov.
Our First Goal program has introduced hockey to over 4500 young boys and girls since 2016!
In preparation for First Goal and the introduction to hockey skills, we strongly recommend completing a Learn to Skate program at any of the local rinks.
